Zoo!

My husband and I happened to have hit up three different zoos (in three different states nonetheless) last week. The first trip we got up at 5:45 in the morning to drive three hours away with my younger sister and her two small kids. It was fun taking them to their first trip to the zoo! :)

The first group of animals we happened to hit up was this goat petting zoo. I don't know if it was a good idea because here on out this little girl thought she could pet ALL the animals lol

Can you guess which one I am married to? :)

We came across this little zoo in a small town and figured it was out of business but then my husband saw a tiger despite what the temp in the picture below says we stopped! Because a tiger in the middle of the most boring nine hour drive home? It was very Twilight zone feeling. Also, I've driven through this town almost 20 times and how had I never noticed this little zoo?! And it was free!!

And this last Saturday we hit up the Denver zoo, while crowded it was free and I'm all about free.

Gorgeous birds!

I don't know why but I am fascinated by the Hyenas..my sister and I joke they are catdogs because that's what they look like to us.

  1. The zoos seem lovely, particularly the one with the polar bear. I have only seen polar bears in pictures and on TV!

You have a great blog here and I am following you now.

  2. I love this entry and I agree on Hyena's it's like they couldn't decide whether to be cats or dogs so picked half of each :)

  6. That's a very beautiful picture of a hyena. I actually thought of it as a wolf at first glance.
