Why I love my Roku

First let me explain what a Roku is for those who haven't heard of them. They are a tiny little box (and now they have sticks you plug into your smarttv) that you hook up to your tv like a dvd player.

It has a plethora of channels on them...movie channels (think Netflix and Huluplus), channels for kids, games, etc. There are even private channels that you can find out about to add to it. I got my first one as a birthday present 3.5 years ago and absolutely love it. I mainly watch Netflix on mine but there is a lot of channels out there though and most of them are free! And they are really affordable as well which is why I have three ;)

I was not paid or compensated for this post. I just like to share things I love

  1. So is it kind of like an antenna? Does it pick up local channels? I like how small it is!

    1. No, not at all. You add channels to it (like the ones I mentioned) and there's themed ones too. It doesn't pick up local channels at all..not that I know of.

  2. I've heard of this thing, these things are like all the rage because no one really has time to sit and watch tv at a specific time. People like to control when they want to watch TV and how long! We got a Western Digital thing that's similar, but it's slow that darn thing. We have an ouya too, and we get the xbmc app for it that works kind of like it.
