Summer 2023

I don't why but I fell through the blog rabbit hole this morning and was reminded how much I loved not only having a blog but reading other's blogs. Instagram will forever be my favorite social media outlet but there's just something so much more personal about a blog. Anyhoo! The summer of 2023 will forever remind me of the summer I took a giant leap in jumping out of my comfort zone and how I lost so much that summer. We packed up all our beglongings in May into Uhaul storage containers...drove down to Oklahoma to pick up some photos and momementos of my mom's and then drove down to Pensacola, Fl. I had always wanted to take Daisy & lucky to the beach and it was time to at least take Daisy! We met up with one of my cousins whom I hadn't seen in nearly 30 years! There was yummy donuts, antiquing, beach time & pug cousin meetings! We spent 110 days living in Nashville, but who's counting? Life changed in every direction for me in those 110 days. There were many days filled immeasureable sadness, disbelief, & grieving. You know what the good thing about so much sadness? It can only get better from there! Before we left Nashville to move back to Colorado we made another trip to Florida..it was bitter sweet as we had a great time but sad because I think it will be a long while before I see the ocean again. I have loved the ocean since I was 10 years old and I think some day, I hope, that it will be my forever home. I'll try to not make it a year or two before I post again and if you read this, say hey!
