Book review..

Chasing Windmills by Catherine Ryan Hyde I read this book three+ years ago and yet it has stuck with me. It's about a girl who rides the subways in NYC to avoid her abusive boyfriend and a boy whose father barely lets him out of the house so at night he escapes and rides the subways at night to get away. They meet and..

Two Kisses for Maddy: A Memoir of Loss and Love by Matthew Logelin This is such a bittersweet story. It's about a new father whose wife dies in child birth. It's a journey about a guy who is trying to take care of his baby and yet he has no idea what he is doing.

Goldengrove by Francine Prose
I can't even remember when I read this book..my guess is 6-7 years ago but the story has stuck with me. It's about a girl whose beloved sister dies in a freak accident. She's left to deal with the death without her parents help but rather her sisters boyfriend.

Paper, Scissors, Death by Joanna Campbell-Slan This is a murder mystery..a type of book I hardly ever read..it also involves a love of scrapbooking! This is the first in a series of books..

The Day the World Came to Town: 9/11 in Gander, Newfoundland by Jim DeFede This book tells about all the diverted flights that went to Gander, Newfoundland after 9/11 and how the citizens of this small town come together.
