My husband and I are doing a 'No spend month' in October. WHAT does that mean you ask? Well, no spending money on things that aren't absolute necessary. That means no going out to eat (this will be hard on the husband), no Starbucks (hard on the husband), and just no frivolous spending. I will still be couponing for great deals just because, I can't NOT do it. I have done this in April 05' and was successful so it is not an impossible feat. I attempted to do in August 09' but I ended up buying a new outfit for my husband's homecoming from a deployment. So close! This is the first time for us to do this together. You can hold us accountable! I will be posting a weekly update on how well we are doing.

I'm terrible already, i just got paid after doing a summer job. and i already spent half of the money on camera devices, sewing machine... oops! good luck!
ReplyDeleteI think most of us are terrible at not spending money..and thank you!
DeleteThis sounds great. I think I could do it, but right now I don't think Eric could. -_-
ReplyDeleteGood luck!

DeleteGood luck! Hope it goes well :-)
ReplyDeleteGREAT idea, and kudos to you for doing it so close to Christmas. I might try this in January :)
ReplyDeleteI am nearly done with Christmas shopping ;)
DeleteThis is a very good idea! Coincidentally my boyfriend challenged me today to cook on a budget for the next 3 weeks. He wants me to spend no more than €7,50 a day, and that's for 2 persons. Sounds doable (and fun) to me! Good luck with the no-spending!
ReplyDeleteGood luck!
DeleteOh, that comment came from Pouffia on Swap Bot, haha!

Thank you...you're very sweet.
DeleteGood luck. I want to ban myself from buying anymore nailpolishes. But we are going to Orlando & there is a Del Sol store at the airport (we don't have them here), so most likely I'll buy a polish or 2 there. Maybe I'll start in Nov not buying more.
ReplyDeleteHa! Have you bought that brand before? I got some on our last cruise and I personally don't think they are worth the cost of them :( But the idea is fun.
DeleteGood luck! I wan't to try something like this. Doesn't hurt to try. --- purple24 (Swap-Bot Follow Me #17)
