Reading Goals

Earlier this year I posted about a reading goal challenge of 100 books read in 2014. I was fairly certain I'd easily reach the goal. And I did officially last week! However I am certain that the amount of books I read is more like 150 as I was using Goodreads to keep track and I noticed months ago that it wasn't tracking ALL the books I read. So I guess if I do this again I'll have to keep personal track of how many I read. One Hundred was just a random number that I threw together. Of the 150 books I read they weren't all novels, infact I'd say less than half were as I like to read a lot of cookbooks and craft books. But I met my goal nonetheless!

Have you made a reading goal this year? Have you met it?

  1. I'm always amazed when people say they read this much!! I set myself the goal for 15 books this year which I thought was a decent number and I've succeeded, but compared to you that's nothing at all! Wow.

  2. I haven't met my goal yet, but I hope to! I find it difficult to get into a lot of books unless they're super awesome. :(

    1. I used to make myself finish a book but if I'm not feeling it after one or two chapters then I don't bother.

    2. Same here. Unfortunately I keep running into duds so it's a lot of abandoning. -_-

  3. Congrats! But I don't understand, how do you read cook books? Like, you sit and read the intro, the part where they tell you about materials, and then the recipes?? To me, cookbooks are like reference books. I only look at it for ideas, then I pick a recipe based on the name or picture.
